
ELMAN FUCHS
Elman Fuchs, 91, of Round Mountain died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City. Interment followed at the Round Mountain Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Nov. 18 at the funeral home.
Fuchs was born May 14, 1924, in Cypress Mill, the son of Hugo Paul Fuchs and Gertrude Hyatt Fuchs. His wife of 55 years, Rita, preceded him in death.
He started as an entrepreneur in the gas station and trucking businesses until he became a cowboy and a rancher, raising livestock in Texas, Nebraska and Osage County, Oklahoma, where he spent almost 50 years of his working life.
Survivors include nephews and their spouses including Timmy and Kim Maddox, Dickie Fuchs, Will Stribling and Ingrid Moursund, Edward and Jennifer Junker, Chris Junker and John and Kitty Moore.
Nieces and their spouses who survive include Lynette and Sam Edmondson; Trudy M. and Pat Carpenter; Susan and Mike Griesemer; Carol and Don Peltier; Diane and John Hovis; Mary Jo and Roland Pfiffer; Mary Moore Moursund Reagor and her husband, F.M. (Fuzzy) Reagor; Rita Junker Pickar and her husband, Richard Pickar; Carrie Moore; Charlotte and Antonio Zuniga, and Lorena and Monte Blaylock.
He is also survived by a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded his death by his parents; brothers, Gerald Fuchs and Joe Syd Fuchs; sister Maurine Fuchs, and nephew, Jerry Fuchs.

Pallbearers were Albert W. Moursund, IV, Rory Boatright, Larry Beyer, Larry Graham, Travis Anderson, Macario Montoya, Lalo Ortiz and Codey Lewis.
Honorary pallbearers were George Birck, Sonny Smith, Wallace, Herbert, Richard Birght, H.L. Todd, Frank Haynes, Ranger Scott, Jake Williams and Richard Rennie.
