Mrs. Waldmar Hoppe

Mrs. Waldmar Hoppe, 92, nee Gertrud (Ann) Cwielong of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services and interment were held Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Deacon Norman Beabout officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hoppe was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Germany, the daughter of Anton Cwielong and Maria Noska Cwielong. She married Friedrich Waldmar Hoppe who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons and spouses, including Eric and Darty Hoppe of Fredericksburg; Roy Hoppe, Houston, and Bernie and Judy Hoppe, Toronto, Canada.

Survivors also include eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth Schnable.

Mrs. Hoppe’s parents also preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
