Adolph (Buddy) Jung

Adolph Palmer (Buddy) Jung, 81, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 27, at 9 a.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home in Comfort with Larry Adams leading the services.

Interment followed in the Comfort Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday evening, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.

Jung was born June 29, 1932, in Kendall County, the son of Walter Jung and Nellie Tatsch Jung. He married Ruth Ann Albrecht on April 18, 1959 in Comfort, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Jung is survived by one son, Steven Jung of San Antonio; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Art Coles of Fannin, and three grandchildren.

Survivors also include a sister, Ruby, Mrs. Carl Rechenthin of Sisterdale, and two sisters-in-law, Helen, Mrs. Lee Jung, and Louise, Mrs. Dan Jung, both of Fredericksburg.

Jung was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Bradley Jung, and three brothers, Lee Jung, Dan Jung and Paul Jung.

Memorials may be to the Alamo Spring Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Daryl Rechenthin, Keith Jung, Rick Jung, Art Coles, Zander Maner and Zach Maner.

Honorary pallbearers included Kristie Coles, Garrett Coles and Kendall Coles.
