Anne H. Houy

Anne H. Houy, 98, nee Hershey, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Lumpkin officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Houy was born June 8, 1917, in East Meadow, New York, the daughter of William B. Hershey and Idabella Terry Hershey. She married Carl Houy on Sept. 7, 1940, in Rockville Centre, New York. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, three sons and spouses, including Chuck and Marge Houy of Boston, Massachusetts; Mary Anne and Marshall Farley, of Hyannis Port, Massachusetts; John and Carol Houy, of Rathdrum, Iowa, and Stephen and Sandy Houy of Littleton.

Survivors also include 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Jane Carter, of Dallas.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Houy was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl A. Houy Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Royer; one brother, William Hershey, and one great-grandchild. Elliott Howell.
