Mrs. Alex J. Baumann

Mrs. Alex J. Baumann, 89, nee Irene Miller of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the organist, and Donna Durst, the vocalist.

Entombment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Mrs. Baumann was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Llano County, the daughter of William Miller and Dora Schneider Miller. She married Alex J. Baumann on Feb. 6, 1943. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1995.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Hoyler of San Antonio, and a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Robin Baumann of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Baumann was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Baumann, and four brothers, including Emil Miller, Harry Miller, Henry Miller and William Miller.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Ernesto Ramos, Christopher Ramos, Gary Lyn Miller, Larry Miller, Dustin Baumann and Gregory Fiedler.
