
BETTY J. CREAMER
Betty J. Creamer, 88, of San Antonio, and formerly of Fredericksburg and Austin, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., today, Wednesday, Oct. 29, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg with interment following Wednesday afternoon at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Mrs. Creamer was born July 9, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Philip and Edith Barrington. She married William G. (Bill) Creamer who preceded her in death.
The Creamer family lived in Hawaii, Washington, California and Florida during the time her husband served in the United States Navy, and settled in Austin in 1967.
She was a professional illustrator for the State of Texas. She was also a docent at the LBJ Library in Austin, a Master Gardener for the Travis County Extension Office and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Mrs. Creamer was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and volunteered at the Hill Country Memorial Hospice Thrift Store.
Over the years, she appeared in films, including “Hope Floats” and “The Trial of James Earl Ray,” and was once a guest on the “Maury Povitch Show.”
She is survived one son, Robert Creamer, and three daughters, Linda Kidd, Mary C. Becquet and Margaret Hudon who lives in Fredericksburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Creamer was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Barrington.
Arrangements were under the direction of Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels of San Antonio.
