
GREG DITTMAR
Gregory W. (Greg) Dittmar, 53, of Dallas, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2014.
A memorial mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas.
Arrangements were under the direction of Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home of Dallas.
Dittmar was born March 28, 1961, in Gillespie County, the son of Wilfred Dittmar and Harriet Moellering Dittmar. He married Genevieve Rubensteen on April 28, 1990, and she survives.
After graduating from Fredericksburg High School in 1979, Dittmar attended Texas State University, graduating in 1983 with a bachelor of fine arts degree.
He opened Dittmar Design in 1995, providing graphic design for clients for nearly 20 years.
Over the years, he served on the boards of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Ursuline Academy.
He also coached volleyball and softball, leading his boys’/co-ed volleyball teams to five Dallas Parochial League championships and his girls’ softball team to two Dallas Parochial League championship appearances.
In addition to his wife, Dittmar is survived by two daughters, Maddie Dittmar and Audrey Dittmar, and one son, Evan Dittmar, all of Dallas.
Survivors also include his mother, Harriet Crenwelge, and one sister, one brother and spouses, Heidi and Nathan Crenwelge and Jeff and Lori Dittmar, all of Fredericksburg.
Dittmar was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Dittmar, and his step-father, Clayton Crenwelge.
