John Lee (Coonie) Kasper

John Lee (Coonie) Kasper, 53, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehab.

A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating.

Visitation with the family was held beforehand.

Interment of the cremains will take place at a later date.

Kasper was born Aug. 3, 1961, in Anahuac, the son of Kenneth Karl Kasper and Kathryn Reeh Kasper.

Survivors include his mother, Kathryn Kasper, of Fredericksburg; two sisters, two brothers and spouses, including Glenn Wayne Kasper and Kendnel and Yollie Kasper, all of Fredericksburg; Marsha and Conrad Welge and Kandice and Myron Jost, all of Doss, and a sister-in-law, Sherry, Mrs. Kelly Kasper of Fredericksburg.

Kasper was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Kelly Kasper.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
