
NORMA SARAH FRANTZEN
Norma Sarah Frantzen, 96, nee Wendel, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, July 11, 2014.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 17, at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bobby Vitek officiating.
Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednesday evening, July 16.
Mrs. Frantzen was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Kimble County, the daughter of Arnold Heinrich Wendel and Elsie Filter Wendel. She married Henry Frantzen on April 8, 1942. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1994.
The Frantzens farmed and ranched in the Luckenbach community.
She is survived by two sons, two daughters and spouses, including Patrick and Cindy Frantzen, Joe and Annie Frantzen and Alice and Dennis Segner, all of Fredericksburg, and Betty and Vic Hildebran of Uvalde.
Survivors also include 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Johanna Wendel of Fredericksburg and Adela Wendel of Kerrville.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Frantzen was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Frantzen, and three brothers and a sister-in-law, including Victor Wendel, Milton Wendel and Waldemar and Pauline Wendel.
Memorials may be made to Kids for Christ, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Russell Segner, Patrick Frantzen, Sam Price, Roy Hildebran, Carl Frantzen and Chris Frantzen.
