Harold Louis Karger

Harold Louis Karger, 92, of Comfort, died Sunday, July 7, 2014.

Graveside services with military honors and interment were held Monday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at Imperial Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home of Comfort.

Karger was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Kendall County, the son of Louis Karger and Jennie Sabban Karger. He married Genevie Blossom who preceded him in death.

A World War II veteran, Karger served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 7, 1942, until Dec. 9, 1945, and was discharged as a private first class.

Survivors include two sisters, Paula Allerkamp of Comfort, and Jean Lois Mohr of Fredericksburg.

In addition to his wife and parents, Karger was preceded in death by two sisters, Milbie Bohnert and Bella Luedke.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
