William G. Cox, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Cox was born March 23, 1928, in Tyff City, Mo., the son of Jesse Cox and Lena Mary Lish Cox. He married Lorna Steadman on Jan. 30, 1971, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Cox is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, including Linda and Rico Macullo of British Columbia, Canada; Robin and Ed Renaud of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Barbara and Richard Poulos of Houston.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Charlie Cox of Huntsville, Ala.
