Edwin Claude Jukola, 72, of Stonewall, died Friday, April 18, 2014.
A memorial service in Colorado is planned at a later date.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.
Jukola was born Dec. 29, 1941, in Denver, Colo., the son of William Frederick Jukola and Noreene Wood McDonnell Jukola. He married Sally Gauntt on July 2, 1960, in Denver, Colo., and she survives.
He had been a crane operator in commercial construction. The couple would travel to Texas for the winter months and then back to Colorado.
In addition to his wife, Jukola is survived by four sons and spouses, including Todd Jukola of Denver, Colo.; Dennis and Judilynn Jukola of Lebanon, Penn.; Randall and Terri Jukola of Denver, Colo., and Scott Jukola of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Survivors also include 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Nancy Jukola of Rosharon.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
