Ramon Perez

Ramon Perez, 79, of Ingleside, died Friday, March 28, 2014.

A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ingleside with interment following at Gregory Cemetery in Gregory.

Arrangements were under the direction of Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass where visitation and a rosary service were held Monday, March 31.

Perez was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Aransas Pass, the son of Isabel and Juanita Perez. His wife, Georgia, preceded him in death.

He is survived by four sons, three daughters and spouses, including Raymond and Elvira Perez and Paul and Selina Perez, all of Corpus Christi; Martin and Rosa Perez of Ingleside; Roy and Lou Perez of Aransas Pass; Beatrice and Paul Rivera and Hilda and Raul Mendez, all of Fredericksburg, and Lisa Martinez of Corpus Christi.

Survivors also include 20 grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; his mother, Juanita Garcia Perez; a brother and sister-in-law, Cipriano and Isaura Perez, and a sister, Sinforosa Avalos, all of Ingleside.

In addition to his wife, Perez was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Guadalupe Perez and Fidel Perez; one grandson, Joey Perez, and a brother-in-law, Frank Avalos.

Pallbearers were Paul Rivera Jr., Joseph Perez Jr., Raymond Perez III, Martin Perez Jr., Roy Perez Jr. and Eric Mendez.
