Joyce Lange

Joyce Lange, 80, nee Spaeth, of Harper, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Harper with the Rev. Scott Hofmann officiating.

Interment followed in the Harper Community Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednesday evening, Jan. 8.

Mrs. Lange was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Mason County, the daughter of Alfred Spaeth and Lillie Geistweidt Spaeth. She married Elmer Lange on June 7, 1953, at St. James Lutheran Church at Harper. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Craig Lange, of Harper; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Juan Brown of Harper; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Janice Spaeth, of Harper.

Her husband and parents preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church of Harper, Harper Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Roy Feller, Daniel Rech, Robert Lozano, Devin Wilson, Ross Crenwelge and Mackey Lange.
