Allen Joe (Jake) Jacoby

      Allen Joe (Jake) Jacoby, 86, of Hondo, died Friday, May 6, 2016.

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, at the Bandera United Methodist Church, with interment of the ashes planned at a later date.

Jacoby was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Kendall County, the son of Erie and Adela Jacoby.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sue Ann Jacoby; two brothers and spouses, Herbert and Ima Ruth Jacoby, and Jimmie Lee and Helen Jacoby, and one sister-in-law, Christine Jacoby.

Survivors also include three step-daughters, one step-son and spouses, Janet and J.T. Hooten, Shauna Heinen, Rita and Scott Schoenenberger and Mark and Linda Graff; nine step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jacoby was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Mary Lynn Jacoby; two sisters, Sylvia Jacoby and Agnes Johnson, and one brother, Lindy B. Jacoby.

Memorials may be made to the Helping Hand Charity, the Bandera United Methodist Church or the charity of choice.
