Auralia Menking Schmid, 96, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Knopp Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sid Spiller officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericks-burg Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednes-day evening, May 11.
Ms. Schmid was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Fayette County, the daughter of Henry Menking and Irma Giese Menking.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Chrissy Stuewe of Fredericksburg and Carol Meier of Stonewall; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Leland Schuette and Kurt Hansen; one daughter, Beverly Shain; a granddaughter, Lisa Shain, and a sister, Sylvia Drew Neffendorf.
Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Associa-tion or the charity of choice.
