Mrs. James E. Edmonds, 89, nee Eugenia Shelton of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services and interment were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Max Wilson officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edmonds was born May 13, 1926, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, the daughter of Frank Shelton and Aletha-Lithia King Shelton. She married James Earl Edmonds on Jan. 12, 1946, in Jackson, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2009.
She is survived by six sons and spouses, including Everett E. and Glenda Edmonds of Dry Prong, Louisiana; James Elton and Lisa Edmonds and James E. and Beth Edmonds Jr., all of Jackson, Mississippi; Ronnie G. and Sally Edmonds Sr. of Canyon Lake; Donald and Teresa Edmonds of Seabrook, and Jerry and Gayle Edmonds of Fredericksburg.
Survivors also include 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
