Francis Morris Fiedler

Francis Morris Fiedler, 92, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Priem officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Thursday evening, Sept. 10.

Fiedler was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Gillespie County, the son of Ben Fiedler and Ella Juenke Fiedler. He married Loreen Mae Thiele on March 2, 1946. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2012.

He is survived by two daughters, one son and spouses, including Iris and Neal Burrer, Frani and Riley Lindemann and Bryan and Billy Fiedler, all of Fredericksburg.

Survivors also include six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters and brothers-in-law, including Mary and Fritzie Bernhard, Agnes and Clinton Klaerner and Annie Mae and Lynn Stone, all of Fredericksburg.

In addition to his wife and parents, Fiedler was preceded in death by six siblings, including Ira Fiedler, Roman Fiedler, O.B. Fiedler, John Earl Fiedler, Kermit Fiedler, Norman Fiedler and three who died in infancy.

Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, New Horizons or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Ginger Schulz, Deann Reyes, Chad Fiedler, Torin Fiedler, Garrett Fiedler and Tim Bargsley.

Serving as honorary pallbearer was David Fiedler.
