Rev. George Watts

Rev. George Watts, 66, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church with the Reverends Ken Moore and Wes Dean officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Watts was born Nov. 1, 1948, in McKinney, the son of Clarence Watts and Naomi Ready Watts, and was raised in Beaumont. He married Sheila Kelley on Nov. 23, 1985, and she survives.

Watts was the current pastor at Faith Baptist Church at State Highway 16 North.

In addition to his wife, Watts is survived by one son, Daniel Watts of San Marcos, and a brother and sister-in-law, Oliver and Linda Watts of Houston.

Memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Mission Fund.

Pallbearers included David Lucas, Joe Lucas, Curt Littman, Alan Littman, Josh Moore, Paul Harrison, Jon Lennon and Mark Cole.

Honorary pallbearers were David Harrison, Curtis Woodard, Wayne Marcy and Tom Pledger.
