ELMER TATSCH

Elmer Tatsch, 75, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 5, at First Christian Church in Iola, Kansas, with interment following in the Moran Cemetery in Moran, Kansas.

Visitation was held Thursday evening at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Moran, Kansas.

Tatsch was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Fredericksburg, the son of Arvin Tatsch and Anita Feller Tatsch.

A Fredericksburg High School graduate, Tatsch was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1958-1962.

In 1966, Tatsch moved to Drexel, Missouri, and in 1970 moved to the Moran and Iola, Kansas, area. He started Tatsch Construction shortly thereafter, and in 1994, he and his daughter opened Tatsch Pallet Company.

Tatsch is survived by three children and spouses, Share and Roy Saenger and Perry Tatsch, all of Hye, and Lisa and Jeff Sanford of Gainesville, Georgia.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Andrew Tatsch of Stonewall.

In addition to his parents, Tatsch was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Dougherty; and three grandchildren, Stacey Tatsch, Gannon Dougherty and Sean Saenger.

Memorials may be made to the Elmer Tatsch Memorial Fund for the benefit of Iola FFA.
