Information on funerals that occur after May 13 will appear under this heading.

JULIA (JUDY) DIETZ FISCHER

Julia Anne (Judy) Dietz Fischer, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 15.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 16, at Bethany Lutheran Church with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or to the charity of choice.

 

MSGR. JOSEPH PETER PETSCH

Msgr. Joseph Peter Petsch, 91, Catholic parish priest and retired colonel and chaplain with the United States Air Force, of San Antonio and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, from 4-7 p.m., and Monday, May 18, from 8-10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg.

Vigil and rosary services will be held Sunday, May 17, at 6 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, May 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Graveside services with military honors accorded by the United States Air Force, will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

 

MRS. ALVIN WALLENDORF

Mrs. Alvin Wallendorf, 93, nee Odelia Halfmann of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, from 4-6 p.m., and Monday, May 18, from 7 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

 A vigil service will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the funeral chapel.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m., Monday, May 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Hub, St. Joseph’s Halle Restoration, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
