
JUDY TUCKER PAHL
Judy Tucker Pahl, 72, of San Antonio, died Monday, April 13, 2015.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 24, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home in San Antonio with interment following at Mission North Cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday evening, April 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pahl was born July 6, 1942, in Austin, the daughter of Ovid Earl Tucker and Waunita Tucker. She married Tom Pahl on Nov. 27, 1971, and he survives.
Mrs. Pahl was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and the University of Texas at Austin where she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta.
She spent many years in the medical field as a medical technologist until her children were born.
Her second career was as a substitute teacher for Stevenson Middle School and O’Connor High School.
For many years, she helped with her daughters’ Girl Scout troops and spent many hours knitting hats for the Toby Keith Foundation, and was still knitting until shortly before her death.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pahl is survived by two daughters, Kristin Pahl, of San Antonio, and Karla Porcelli and her husband, Mike, of Georgia, and two granddaughters.
Survivors also include a sister and spouse, Ann and Bob Royal, of Austin; a sister-in-law, Shirley Steitle, of Boerne, and brother-in-law and spouse, Kenneth and Patricia Pahl, of Fredericksburg.
