Mrs. Udo A. Henke, 101, nee Ruth Fay Keidel of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Priem officiating.
Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.
Visitation was held Friday evening and Saturday morning at the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Henke was born May 15, 1913, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Felix Keidel and Hattie Elsa Pfeiffer Keidel. She married Udo A. Henke on June 25, 1936, in San Antonio. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1989.
She is survived by two granddaughters and spouses, including Belinda and Ken Grams of Spring Branch and Shelly Lynn and Ralph Van Orsdale of Kerrville; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Henke was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, RoShell and Edwin Baker; two sisters, Mildred Keidel and Minna Roberta (Tootsie) Keidel, and a great-granddaughter, Molly Beth Grams.
Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospital or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Travis Luke Grams, Emily Jane Grams, Rebecca Megan Grams, Shannon Van Orsdale-Stovall, Heather Van Orsdale and Fallon Van Orsdale.
