
MAC McINTIRE
Wilburn (Mac) McIntire, 87, of Harper, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Graveside services and interment were held Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m. at the Harper Community Cemetery in Harper with the Rev. Richard Martin officiating.
McIntire was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Stamford, the son of Aubry McIntire and Edna May Singleton McIntire. He married Thelma Ruth Goff McIntire on July 7, 1946, in Anson. She preceded him in death.
McIntire was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 90th Infantry Division, and receiving a number of awards and citations for his service.
After the war, he and his wife moved to Houston where they owned and operated a Dr. Scholl’s store for 30 years.
They moved to Harper in 1983.
McIntire is survived by a son, Mark McIntire of Harper, one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, McIntire was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Don McIntire who died in infancy, and five siblings, Flora, Morris, Arnold, Areata and Bob.

Arrangements were under the direction of Beckmann Funeral Home.
