MRS. HILMAR KLAEHN

Mrs. Hilmar Klaehn, 91, nee Adalena Wendel, of Seguin, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin with the Rev. Paul J. Zwarich officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Harper Community Cemetery in Harper.

Mrs. Klaehn was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Lorenz Wendel and Alma Oehler Wendel. She married Hilmar Klaehn 62 years ago and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Klaehn is survived by two sons, one daughter and spouses, including Ronnie and Betty Klaehn, of Seguin; Felicia (Duddy) and Harold Klaerner, New Braunfels, and Gary and Gretel Klaehn, Harper.

Survivors also include eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Magdalena Wendel of Harper, and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Lott, Fredericksburg, and Mae Petri, Blanco.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson, Cash Carley Scott.

Memorials may be made to Emanuel’s Lutheran Church, 206 N. Travis, Seguin, TX 78155 or to the Harper Community Cemetery Association, 162 Bobbie Lynn, Harper, TX 78631. 

Pallbearers include Cody Klaehn, Darin Klaehn, Christopher Klaehn, Hoyt Klaerner, Weston Scott and Robby Scott.
