Mrs. Wilton C. Sturdivant Jr.

Mrs. Wilton C. Sturdivant Jr., 93, nee Betty Jane Shoupe of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. Pam Traver officiating.

Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sturdivant was born May 15, 1921, in Watkins, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clayton L. Shoupe and Rose Davis Shoupe. She married Wilton C. Sturdivant Jr. on June 20, 1942. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, one son and spouses, including Sue Sturdivant of Dallas, Jim and Linda Sturdivant of Carrollton and Sally and Mike Clark of Fredericksburg.

Survivors also include four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Richard Wade of Dallas.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Doug Clark, Zach Clark, Joseph Brillhart, Don Brookshire, David Hardison and Mike Starks.
