Helen J. Schaeferkoeter

Helen J. Schaeferkoeter, 89, nee Polley, of Spring Branch, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home Chapel in Blanco with the Rev. Ken Green officiating.

Interment followed in the Blanco Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schaeferkoeter was born July 21, 1925, the daughter of William Stadler Polley and Una Mae Hill Polley. She married Arnold Schaeferkoeter 68 years ago and he survives.

She was a graduate of Harlandale High School in San Antonio and worked for an insurance business for many years and in later years was an owner operator of A & H Store for 15 years.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schaeferkoeter is survived by two daughters, including Cheryl Ethridge and her husband, James, and Patricia Rishebarger, all of Spring Branch; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors also include a brother, Billy Polley and a sister, Doris Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
