Mrs. Cecil Welch, 96, nee Freda J. Clark of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services and interment were held Friday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with the Rev. Clark Rocca officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home of Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Welch was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter Floyd Clark and Mae Davis Clark. She married Cecil Welch on July 22, 1942, in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Steve Watson, and a son, John Clark Welch, all of Fredericksburg.
Survivors also include three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by five siblings, including Ernest Clark, Jim Clark, Florence Vaughn, Lou Crawford and Mildred Clark.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospital, the Salvation Army or to the charity of choice.
