MRS. HAROLD PAHL
Mrs. Harold Pahl, 88, nee Meta Schaeferkoeter of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Priem officiating.
Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Sunday evening, June 22.
Mrs. Pahl was born April 28, 1926, in Blanco County, the daughter of Harry Schaeferkoeter and Ella Rech Schaeferkoeter. She married Harold Pahl on Sept. 28, 1946, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2013.
Over the years, the Pahls farmed and ranched in the Luckenbach community.
Mrs. Pahl is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, including Charlotte and Larry Taylor and Stephanie and Patrick Stahl, all of Fredericksburg, and Joscelyn and Murray McDonald of Hutto.
Survivors also include six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Clemens Pehl of Fredericksburg
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pahl was preceded in death by three sisters, including Frieda Pehl, Hilda Klein and Norma Kunz.
Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Michele and Patrick Vonderbrink, Harold Dean and Michelle Nall, Ursula and Nathan Kolenovsky, Deidra and Jon Stasny, Brandon and Lona Stahl and Carlynn and Reagan King
Honorary pallbearers were John Klein, Bert Vollmar, Gerald Kunz and Perry Pehl.
