BILL NOAH STAFFORD

Bill Noah Stafford, 73, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 31, 2014.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 6, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Tommy LeFan officiating. Visitation was held beforehand.

Private family disposition of his cremains will take place at a later date.

Stafford was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the son of Arvel C. Stafford and Dixie Elswick Stafford. He married Vicky Lynn Esensee on Feb. 2, 1991, in Fredericksburg, and she survives.

A Fredericksburg High School graduate, Stafford retired from Central Texas Electric Cooperative where he had worked for 40 years.

He also worked at the local Walmart store for over seven years, and was a long-time member of the Fredericksburg Jaycees.

In addition to his wife, Stafford is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Tracey Stafford of San Angelo, and Adam and Dr. Kristi Stafford of Fredericksburg, and nine grandchildren.

Survivors also include his father- and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Betty Esensee of Fredericksburg; two sisters-in-law and spouses, Robin and Anthony Baumann of Fredericksburg and Gail and Richard Dvorak of San Antonio, and two brothers-in-law, Shawn Esensee and his wife, Erin, of San Antonio and Donald Pounders of Illinois.        

Stafford was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of choice.
