Mrs. Kenneth Thomas

Mrs. Kenneth Thomas, 73, nee Maedelle Woerner of San Saba, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 31, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Brand officiating.

Visitation was held beforehand.

Mrs. Thomas was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Alonzo Louis Woerner and Christine Wilhelmina Sauer Woerner. She married Kenneth Thomas on Feb. 22, 1961, in Mexico. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2014.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by two daughters, two sons and spouses, including Alesha and Collin Barta, Rhonda Grady and Todd and Melinda Thomas, all of San Saba, and Craig and Sha Thomas of Crane.

Survivors also include 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Audelle Burkey and her husband, Randy, of Doss, and Joyce Roberts of Friendswood.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice.
