Mrs. Clayton Kuhlmann, 82, nee Beatrice Joy (Bea) Peese, of San Angelo, died Monday, April 21, 2014.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Angelo with the Rev. Randall Wehmeyer officiating.
Interment followed in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening, April 23, at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo.
Mrs. Kuhlmann was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Edwin and Lillian Peese. She married Clayton Kuhlmann on June 3, 1950, and he survives.
She was a 1949 Fredericksburg High School graduate.
The Kuhlmanns lived in various cities before settling in San Angelo in 1967.
She sold Avon before working in retail sales, primarily in the cosmetic department at Hemphill Wells and Dillard’s.
Mrs. Kuhlmann was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Concho Pearls Lions Club.
After retirement, she volunteered weekly at Meals For The Elderly.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kuhlmann is survived two sons, Rodney Kuhlmann of Abilene and Stephen Kuhlmann and his wife, Ervilene, of San Angelo.
Survivors also include two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilburn Peese, and a sister, Marilyn Wood, both of Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Kuhlmann was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Karen Rene Kuhlmann and Janet Kay Scott; one granddaughter Kathryn René Kuhlmann, and one brother, Dayton Peese.
