
ROY RHODES
Roy Rhodes, 72, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, April 11, 2014.
Funeral services, with military honors accorded by the U.S. Army, were held Tuesday, April 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Family Chapel in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. William Breen officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Monday evening, April 14.
Rhodes was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Clare County, Mich., the son of John Henry Rhodes and Opal Mary Eichorn Rhodes. He married Rea Flock on June 6, 1964, in Beaverton, Mich., and she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam.
Rhodes was a businessman, doing various things during his lifetime, with the last being the sales of agriculture equipment thru Legend Hill Enterprises.
In addition to his wife, Rhodes is survived by two daughters, one son and spouses, including Shay and Bill Dodes, Troy and Shannon Rhodes and Heather and Bryan Langehennig, all of Fredericksburg, and six grandchildren.
Survivors also include three sisters, Alberta Badgley, Dorothy Kroll and Gladys Frankhauser, all of Michigan.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country SPCA, Hill Country Antique Tractor and Engine Club, Fredericksburg High School FFA or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Tony Klein, Houston Temperton, Dan Rohrer, David Anderson, Rick Boos, Kenneth Meyer and Lyndon Wahrmund.
