Mrs. William H. Smith

Mrs. William H. Smith, 89, nee Elizabeth Schultz of San Antonio and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Air Force Village II Hospice.

Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday, April 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ann Hoch officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born May 20, 1924, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Charles Schultz and Teresa Thompson Schultz. She married William H. Smith on Aug. 7, 1948, in Richmond, Calif. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Steve Sommer of Provo, Utah, and Jan and Jim Mahlum of Aurora, Colo.; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Survivors also include two brothers, John Schultz of Virginia and Charles Schultz of California, and a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Siefert of Nevada.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Schultz.
