
MRS. HENRY KAMMLAH SR.
Mrs. Henry David Kammlah Sr., 93, nee Norma Wendel of Menard and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the Concho County Hospital in Eden.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Priem officiating.
Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.
Visitation was held Monday evening and Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kammlah was born June 7, 1920, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Emil J. Wendel and Dorothea Houy Wendel. She married Henry David Kammlah on March 14, 1942, at Cherry Mountain. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kammlah is survived by two sons, one daughter and spouses, including Michael Kammlah of Austin; Henry and Gloria Kammlah of Fredericksburg, and Becky and Charles Anderson of Menard.
Survivors also include nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kammlah was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters, including Sterling Wendel, Wilbur Wendel, Margaret Kirchner, Louisa Wendel, Lenora Wendel and Bessie Wendel.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included David Anderson, Garrett Anderson, Ross Anderson, H.E. Kammlah, Matthew Kammlah and Mason Kammlah.
