Kurt V. Frantzen

Kurt V. Frantzen, 58, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where a memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Casey Zesch officiating.

Frantzen was born March 28, 1955, in Fredericksburg, the son of R.L. and Betty Frantzen. He married Trudy Bruns on Aug. 22, 1999, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Frantzen is survived by a step-son, Ace; and two sisters, Lisa Thomas and her husband, Charlie, of Center Point, and Alyx Frantzen of Nacogdoches.

Survivors also include his parents-in-law, Alton and Florine Bruns of Fredericksburg, and a sister-in-law and her husband, Judy and Ted Jenschke of Austin.

Frantzen was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Cleo Frantzen, and a brother, Ben Frantzen.

Memorials may be made to the Hill Country SPCA, American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
