John Richards

John Richards, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 7, 2016.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Lumpkins officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Richards was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Walter Marvin Richards and Anna Elizabeth Richards.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Richards; three sons, Ryan Richards of Seattle, Washington; Wayne West of Mesa, Arizona, and Steve West of Fredericksburg.

Survivors also include six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two sisters, Betty Dunhaupt of Topeka, Kansas, and Millie Felkner and her husband, Ron, of Leawood, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Hill Country Community Needs Council or to the charity of choice.
