Lois Edith Bissett

Lois Edith Bissett, 97, nee Billings, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Mac Long officiating.

Interment followed in the Harper Community Cemetery.

Visitation was held Saturday morning before the funeral.

Ms. Bissett was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Kieffer Edmond Billings and Alma Edith Walker Billings.

She is survived by two daughters, one son and spouses, including Pat and Mike Martin of Lockhart, Bob and Inung Bissett of Tomball and Judy Bruce of Luling.

Survivors also include eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Bissett was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Claunch, and a grandson, Robbin Oneal Adkison.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country SPCA, First Baptist Church of Harper or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Sean Adkison, Scott Bruce, Brett Bissett, Bobby Bissett, D.J. McVay, Kiefer Cassidy and Kyler Cassidy.
